Lothar Estein founded Estein USA in Orlando, Florida, in 1994 and its sister company, US Treuhand GmbH, (“UST”) in Darmstadt, Germany, in 1995. Estein currently serves as president of Estein USA and holds a controlling ownership interest in both entities. He provides direction and oversight of all aspects of the companies on a day-to-day basis.

He has guided both companies since their inception and is responsible for the investment of more than $6 billion of equity in real estate investments. Estein’s experience spans a wide range of real estate asset classes having held extensive positions in large retail centers, Class A urban office buildings, luxury hotels and more.

He started his first investment company in Germany in 1974 and made his first investments in the United States in 1978.

Estein earned a master’s degree in Business and Engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany in 1976.

He is a U.S. Citizen and has resided in Windermere, Florida, since 1997. He is married and the father of five children.

Lance Fair is chief operating officer and chief investment officer with Estein USA. In his role at Estein USA, Fair is responsible for day-to-day operations of the company including asset management oversight, as well as executing transactions for new investments and, financing and disposition of existing assets.  During his tenure, he has overseen the investment and acquisition of almost $1 billion of assets and the disposition of more than $1 billion of assets.  Additionally, he has guided the financing of the company’s real estate holdings with more than $1 billion of mortgage financing.

Fair began his career at Shell Chemical Company and went on to serve in several corporate finance roles for various operating companies before joining Memphis-based Belz Enterprises—a large real estate development and operating company—in 2000. During his tenure as vice president of corporate finance, he was involved in all aspects of commercial real estate development, finance and operations.

Fair earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arkansas in 1985 and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas in 1989.

He is married and the father of three children.

Anthony Marcus is chief financial officer with Estein USA. In his role as CFO, Marcus is responsible for cash management, financial reporting and tax compliance for all of Estein USA’s investments. In addition, he serves in the capacity of human resources manager and provides oversight for all risk management requirements.

Marcus became a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida in 1994. He began his career in public accounting before accepting the position of controller for Gooding’s Supermarkets Inc., a local supermarket chain. He was promoted to Chief Financial Officer during his 11 years of employment with the Gooding’s family.

Marcus earned an Accounting Degree from the University of West Florida in 1991 and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Central Florida in 2000.

Marcus is married and the father of two children. He has lived in the Orlando area since 1991.
